Membership Overview

There are many different aspects of becoming a member of Shepherd Golf. First is our association with the Southern Californian Golf Association, which is explained below. As a Shepherd Golf member you will be eligible to participate in all of our events throughout the year. You will receive opportunities for discounted rounds throughout Southern California golf courses, including discounted player fees when participating in a Shepherd Golf event.

As mentioned above, a member of Shepherd Golf also becomes an immediate member of the Southern California Golf Association. As a member of the SCGA you will receive their handicapping services, which includes the ability to post scores on-line. Members of SCGA also receive a bimonthly issue of FORE Magazine, an annual directory of Golf making you eligible to participate in SCGA tournaments (over 100 a year), and advanced tee times and pricing at many SCGA Golf Courses. This is just to name a few of the many benefits you gain by becoming a member of the SCGA and Shepherd Golf.

How to Join

First, any new applicant should read over the By-Laws of Shepherd Golf to gain an understanding of how and why the club exists. Second, email or call Josh Merrill so he can mail you a membership application packet. This packet includes an instructional page, a Shepherd Golf registration form, and a SCGA application. Both the Shepherd Golf registration form and the SCGA application need to be returned with the club fee of $50. Shepherd Golf is open to everyone. Note: Refer to the club Bylaws for new membership procedure.
